What Are These Four Films About?

BhoothBangla, Cocktail 2, Main Vaapas Aaunga, Raja Shivaji

Bhooth Bangla brings back the beloved Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan pairing for the first time since Khatta Meetha in 2010 — a gap of 14 years. The horror comedy also stars Tabu, Paresh Rawal, and Rajpal Yadav, and releases on April 10, 2026.

Cocktail 2, directed by Homi Adajania and produced by Maddock Films, is a spiritual sequel to the 2012 cult favourite Cocktail, now featuring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna in a new romantic triangle. It opens in theatres on June 19, 2026.

Main Vaapas Aaunga marks the first collaboration between director Imtiaz Ali and Diljit Dosanjh — a pairing that has generated considerable anticipation since its announcement. The film stars Diljit opposite Sharvari Wagh and is set during India’s Partition. It releases June 12, 2026.

Raja Shivaji is Riteish Deshmukh‘s directorial debut, with Riteish himself playing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj alongside a massive ensemble that includes Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, and Genelia Deshmukh. The film releases across six languages on May 1, 2026 — Maharashtra Day — making it one of the most ambitious pan-India historical films of the year.
