The first to arrive is Kara, hitting screens on April 30, 2026. Directed by Vignesh Raja — the filmmaker behind the acclaimed thriller Por Thozhil — Kara stars Dhanush as Karasaami, a simple cotton farmer from Ramanathapuram who is pushed onto a dark, violent path and must now protect his family against impossible odds. Mamitha Baiju plays the female lead in what is described as a gritty, raw drama with high-stakes action. The film is produced by Vels Film International with music by GV Prakash Kumar, and the supporting cast includes KS Ravikumar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Jayaram, and Karunas.

Jana Nayagan is Thalapathy Vijay’s final film before his full-time entry into politics — making it one of the most emotionally charged Tamil releases in living memory. Vijay plays Vetri Kondan, a former police officer who is reluctantly pulled into politics to fight for ordinary people.
