The song marks the official music launch phase for the film, which hits theatres on April 30, 2026.

The song is a raw, grim invocation — a call to the deity Karasaami to rise, act against the wicked, and end the game that the wrongdoers started. “Vaaya” in Tamil means “come” or “come forth,” making the title itself a direct summons. The song functions on two levels simultaneously: as a devotional plea to a deity and as a character introduction, given that the film’s protagonist is also named Karasaami. The distinction between the god and the man is deliberately blurred from the very first note.

The film follows Karasaami, nicknamed Kara, a man caught between sin and virtue because of his profession, who must protect his family when he locks horns with the wrong people.

Given the April 30 theatrical date, a digital premiere would typically follow six to eight weeks after release, putting the OTT window tentatively around June to July 2026, though no official deal has been disclosed.

The film is also likely to face box office competition from Suriya‘s Karuppu, which has been eyeing a May 1 release, placing the two Tamil action films on adjacent days during the same summer holiday weekend.
